I work on software.
That can mean a lot of things. I currently focus on web-based development.
The majority of my career has been centered around .NET MVC projects. I have grown to really like the framework - everything just works. Microsoft shows no signs of abandoning the project, and it has grown to be quite performant given how large of a toolkit it is.
I think the potential of WebGPU is neat, especially in the compute space. Relatively new to the API (and WGSL), but I would like to explore it further.
"VR-first" games are the future for major innovation in the video game industry. I believe the hardware now presents plenty of opportunity; it is on the developers to deliver. All of my development time outside of work is focused on this.
Tracwire is a new company founded by experienced members of law enforcement. Their initial MVP was a product to help modernize the recruit training process for law enforcement (FTEP).
I am one of the lead developers on an ambitious new platform that will greatly improve the day-to-day of any law enforcement agency.
RideStyler is a leading software company in the automotive aftermarket space; an industry always slow to adopt the latest technology trends.
My time at RideStyler was split 50/50 between:
- Writing code. They prioritized .NET, so I spent most of my time working with ASP.NET, Vue, and React.
- Client management. I routinely met with a handful of our mid-sized clients, ensuring their needs were met by myself and our team.
